2012 Hong Kong Red Cross International Humanitarian Moot
Two VUW students (and possibly a researcher) would participate in a mooting competition based on the law of armed conflict in Hong Kong on 8-10 March 2012. VUW won the competition last year, and are keen to continue their success.
Funding and registration have not been finalised, but the faculty is looking for students who would be interested in participating in the moot. Committing to the team involves 10-15 hours of research work from mid-December until the moot, with submissions due in on 2 February 2012.
Students should have good grades, and have taken international law. To apply, email Joanna Mossop (joanna.mossop@vuw.ac.nz) by 9am Monday 19 December, indicating the following:
- Which international law subjects you have taken;
- Any mooting experience outside of the Legal Research and Writing course; and
- If you have any other experience or engagement with international humanitarian law (not required);
- What your summer plans are, and approximately how much time you could commit to the moot each week up until the competition.
