Simpson Grierson 200-Level Study Groups
One of the primary aims of VUWLSS is to support and enhance the legal education of our members. In 2012 we want to actively pursue this aim.
VUWLSS is proud to announce and unveil a brand new outcome of this focus for 2012. Generously sponsored by Simpson Grierson, the 200-Level Study Groups will be an invaluable addition to our education repertoire.
Effectively, the Simpson Grierson 200-Level Study Groups will see VUWLSS taking the hassle of organising study groups out of your hands and provide a comprehensive educational support programme for our members.
The Simpson Grierson 200-Level study groups will run for two hours, four times a year foreach of the four 200-level papers (16 sessions in total). They will be held in the fourth week after a holiday break, on consecutive nights for eachindividual paper. The provisional dates are as follows: 26-29 of March, 14-17May, 6-9 August, and 1-4 October.
VUWLSS will book a room and organise resources for the Simpson Grierson 200-Level Study Groups. These will include snacks and stationery – this is to keep the atmosphere more informal, and less like a lecture. We will also organise for two students to attend who have previously completed and achieved well in the relevant course, so they can provide clarification where issues are raised. The content of sessions themselves will be determined by the will of the attendants, and be flexible totheir desires and concerns.
